Why is this class important?

Writing is something that has been cemented in human history since well forever, now in our present time its more prevalent then it has ever been.  When it comes to someone's career or job being able to converse and write in a professional manner is paramount.  Just from the title of this class its clear that this is going to improve ones skills in writing with some technicality.  From the few projects we have completed so far I've already learned so much that could improve any work emails, letterheads, memos, and resumes I might need to make in my future.  Employers are looking for someone who is willing to work for whatever position is up for grabs and using the skills this class teaches would make it easy to meet such an expectation.  I've learned how to properly write and make templates for multiple uses, just having these preset is already worth time.  Which as many people know time is money, I've already used many of the skills to enhance my preset resume I've made from my previous English classes.  Being able to have multiple links for outside criteria and templates for different forms of documents would show whoever you give your resume to that you are prepared.

How do I feel about this class?

 Being inside of this technical writing class as a freshman doing online college wasn't exactly what I expected it to be.  I'm given a lot more time than I thought I would in the beginning and after two days of reading through the syllabus and finishing some basic assignments this class is actually quite enjoyable.  Not to say I thought it wouldn't be I just didn't have very high expectations since I'm not the biggest fan of online school or classes in general since I learn better in person.  I'm only taking these courses since they are automatically selected for me due to a program I am in which is an internship with Empire Cat and MCC.  This class has pleasantly surprised me however, our teacher has given us plenty of tools and resources to get through it easily and the assignments give straight forward instructions to what needs to be done.  I'm excited to see what else I can learn from this Technical Writing class and how I can apply what I learn to my daily life.  I think it would be the most helpful with my future career at Empire Cat sending work emails or memos just like how I was shown in this class.
